In January 2013, the Good News Foundation was established in Dehradun by Pastor Amit Kumar. Pastor Amit, married with 2 young daughters, worked as a real estate consultant who goes to places for business but now reaches out to villages and mountains to spread the Good News.
He extends his missionary work not only to far-flung villages but also to the slums where poverty and substance abuse are widespread dilemmas. Planting churches has been the focal point of the ministry.
Recently, a church was planted in a small village, wherein walking sticks for the elders were also distributed. They were very grateful for this was the very first time they received something through a church. Pastor Amit and his ministry not only fill their souls with the Gospel but also their hearts and physical needs.
With the distance they travel to share the Good News, Pastor Amit is seeking donations for transportation and communication. A sustainable livelihood would also help the pastors and their families with their basic needs while doing full-time missionary work.
